The Edwards Barn LLC has a long history in Nipomo, Ca.
The property was acquired by Felix G. and Antonia Camacho in 1949. They raised nine children on this ranch, and the surrounding parcels are still owned by Camacho family members. Today the Edwards Barn LLC is owned by Mavi Camacho-Edwards (8th child to Felix G. and Antonia Camacho) and her husband David. Both long time natives of Nipomo.
The rural look and feel of the barn attracts many people reminiscing of simpler times and offers a nostalgic view of Nipomo. The barn is a product of three historic redwood barns that were dismantled on the Central Coast by David and Mavi Edwards. All of the redwood was at least 100 years old. Some of the barns had already fallen and would soon become another lost page in the history of agriculture. It is very satisfying to know that those barns have now resurrected into a beautiful new-old barn that people are so willing to embrace.
The compliments the ambiance and uniqueness of Nipomo by capturing the feeling of days gone by. It has become a landmark on the Nipomo Mesa. Our family is proud to offer the barn to local non-profit organizations for gatherings and also for weddings and receptions. The barn is a one-of-a kind central coast wedding venue.
